Makar Sankranti is a Hindu festival celebrated in almost all parts of India and Nepal in a myriad of cultural forms. It is a harvest festival. Makar Sankranti marks the transition of the Sun into the zodiac sign of Makara rashi (Capricorn) on its celestial path.
Students of B Pharm. IV and iii yr paid Industrial Visit to Baddi, Himanchal Pradesh, in a couple Pharmaceutical Industries. It was a very satiating experience for all the pharmacy students to see the concepts and methods being taught in class room and Labs in college, practiced on Industrial level. The student was also taken to Manali where they enjoyed Sking, Para trooping, etc in the snow clad areas of Sohong valley. Banks of Beas River was there next destination where they enjoyed River Rafting in the spine chilling waters. While retreating back, at Chandigarh, the students visited Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake.
A seminar was delivered by Mrs.Deepti Dubey,from Dept. of Pharmaceutics, on the topic “PHARMACOVIGILANCE A PRACTICAL APPROACH IN RESHAPING PATIENT SAFETY AND AS A LUCRATIVE CAREER OPTION” on 2nd March,2013. During the presentation the need & scope of Pharmacovigilance, various courses & career prospects with respect to Indian scenario were explained at length
